A really good post. I read it carefully. One thing that jumped out at me was you mentioned journalling. I started keeping a journal when I was around 17, when I was trying to figure things out, especially with various relationships. I thought it would be a temporary tool to get through some hard times but it turned out to be a lifelong devotion, for which I'm very grateful. And as I've learned since, it's how most writers start, without even knowing that they're writers. Bless you.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my post! I journaled through high school and lost the habit in college. I’ll forever regret that, for I have renewed memories when I flip through the pages of my high school journal, and I’m sure I’m forgetting many from college. Today, I am back in the habit of consistently journaling. It’s amazing how much one little habit can improve my well-being!

I was the same in university. Sometimes I would go a couple of weeks between journal entries. I regret that now because those were formative years. But as an adult, I've kept at it every day for many years. Really good to connect with you.

School is such a busy time, too. That makes it hard to make journaling a daily habit! Every couple of weeks still gives you something to remember, though, so that’s good. It’s great to connect with you as well. I’d love to have you here regularly at The Ghost Post. 😊

The idea about winter is wintering... and that means you are not lazy, you need to rest ;-), that is why nature beings hibernate in this season.

so I would add that when you feel the need to rest, just rest and restore and don't push yourself too hard in these months. move with the seasons that is the healthiest thing to do!

I completely agree; rest during the winter is especially important! However, everything is a balance. I still have to get stuff done, as I can’t take 3 whole months off of working. In today’s post, I thought perhaps these tips would be helpful for others who also need some productivity tips for working during the winter months. 😊 Thanks for pointing that out - rest is SO important!

Yeah I guess in today's world there are not a lot of people who can take three months off... So yeah balance is always good!

If the muses aren’t visiting me at times I’ve dedicated to writing I read and make notes instead. Sometimes that spurs on the writing mood.

That’s a great idea! Sometimes you just have to seek inspiration elsewhere; the blank page isn’t always inspiring. Thanks for sharing. :)
