How does scriptwriting become a ghostwriting genre? I thought they all use scripts by people who want credit.

Good question! From my research, it does not seem that this is always the case… Some screenplays are first written by an early career scriptwriter or a freelance ghostwriter and then edited into the final product by the more popular “named” screenwriter. Some ghostwriters take books and adapt them into film scripts as well before these scripts are reviewed by regular screenwriters, book author(s), and/or producers. That’s about the extent of my knowledge, though, as screenwriting is not my ghostwriting niche. I haven’t done a ton of research on it.
